SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication system. In particular, the invention discloses performed by the network node method, which comprises receiving the signal transmission command, requiring the use of partial antenna array of said antenna array, wherein, for transmission, the partial antenna array requires less physical elements than the total number of physical elements of antenna array, forming virtual antenna elements for the partial antenna array, thereby reducing the antenna array antenna total aperture, increasing the weights applied to the virtual antenna elements, by each of the virtual antenna elements connection to at least a portion of the antenna array all physical antenna elements so, that the virtual antenna elements at least partially use the full antenna aperture, initiating signal transmission using the virtual antenna elements array.

EFFECT: invention is intended to improve the efficiency of signal transmission mechanisms using antenna array with the radiated pattern formation.
