SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an internal combustion engine controller. Engine controller is proposed that controls a spark-ignition engine with direct fuel injection, including a valve for direct fuel injection into the cylinder, and an ignition plug that ignites the mixture in the cylinder. Engine controller is provided with an acceleration request sensor configured to detect an acceleration request from the driver, and when the acceleration request occurs and the temperature of the top surface of the piston in the cylinder is below a predetermined temperature, the engine controller delays the ignition timing, so that the period of time until the flame after ignition reaches the top surface of the piston is prolonged.
EFFECT: technical result consists in controlling the motor so that the increase in the formation amount of the solid particles (PN) during acceleration is suppressed when the temperature of the upper surface of the piston is low.
