FIELD: measurement.

SUBSTANCE: glucose concentration measurement system comprises a biosensor having electrodes and a meter. Meter includes a microcontroller configured to transmit a signal to the electrodes, measure an output signal during the electrochemical reaction over a series of time intervals, determine an output differential as a difference of the output signal for consecutive time intervals and, if this output differential is greater than a threshold, increment an index value depending on said output differential. When the final index value is greater than or equal to a predetermined index value, then an error is annunciated; otherwise the glucose value is annunciated. Method for measuring glucose concentration is also provided.

EFFECT: invention provides more accurate determination of glucose concentration by detecting erroneous signals at the output.
