FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to monitoring the operation status of the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) device in a positive-ignition engine, in particular the wear control of opening and closing the exhaust gas recirculation control valve. Monitoring and measuring device (1) is proposed, containing: first control means (17) forcing the opening and closing of regulating valve (13), cartographic scheme (18), on which the theoretical advanced ignition values are plotted in accordance with the engine operation mode and the engine load, first computational means (19) for calculating the diagnostic criterion, depending on the theoretical advanced ignition selected from cartographic scheme (18), and the optimum value of advanced ignition, comparative means (21) for comparing the diagnostic indices with the threshold value of the failure of the regulating valve.
EFFECT: determination of the failure of the exhaust gas recirculation valve.
