SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of technical application of internal combustion engines, as well as to the proposed method and control system for an engine and a vehicle having such a method and system. Method includes: obtaining operational parameters of the engine including ignition misfires in the engine cylinders, the amount of fuel injected by the fuel injector, the amount of incoming air in the inlet pipe and the oxygen content in the discharge pipeline; calculation of the actual air-fuel ratio in the engine cylinder based on the engine operating parameters; obtaining the target air-fuel ratio; controlling the amount of fuel injected by the fuel injector based on the actual air-fuel ratio and the target air-fuel ratio to adjust the actual air-fuel ratio to the target air-fuel ratio. Due to the present invention, soot deposits in the engine are prevented and harmful emissions with exhaust gases released from the engine are reduced, and the three-way catalytic converter can have the greatest efficiency.
EFFECT: vehicle using the above method can reduce fuel consumption and improve driving safety.
