SUBSTANCE: invention relates to assistance systems for driving. Driving assist device comprises a plurality of sensors that are mounted in the vehicle and configured to receive information about the vehicle and the object next to the vehicle. Electronic control unit is configured to determine whether the vehicle is moving directly, whether there is an object having the probability of crossing the path within the threshold time period, whether there is a situation that will impede the movement of the object, generate a request for assistance in driving, perform assistance in driving. When the electronic control unit determines that the basic vehicle is moving straight, a linear path of the final length in the direction of vehicle movement is evaluated. Driving assistance request signal is generated when it is determined that the object is present and that the vehicle is not moving and prohibits the generation of a signal when it is determined that the object is present and that the vehicle is moving.
EFFECT: higher safety of vehicle driving is achieved.
