FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding, in particular to underwater vessels, floating in ice conditions and destroying ice cover by the resonance method when they ascend in solid ice. Method of breaking the ice cover by an underwater ship is to excite flexural-gravity waves when the ship moves under the ice with a resonant speed. During the movement of the vessel on its upper surface in the bow tip and the most probable place of the formation of the sole, flexural-gravity waves are periodically generated, and then eliminate the electromagnetic force directed towards the movement of the vessel, with a frequency equal to the frequency of resonant flexural-gravity waves, for a time equal to half of their period.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of the destruction of the ice cover is achieved.
