FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of production of active coals used in the processes of cleaning liquids. Method for producing activated carbon is proposed, including carbonization and steam-gas activation of plant raw materials. As a raw material, pre-dried and ground mango seed shells are used. Carbonization is carried out by heating the raw material with a speed of 10–15 °C/min to a temperature of 550–600 °C and isothermal exposure at the final temperature for 20–40 minutes. Activation is carried out at 800–820 °C.
EFFECT: production of activate coal based on plant waste, which is effective in clarifying gelatin solutions.
