FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to otolaryngology, and can be used for coagulation of vessels in a wound with tonsillectomy. Laser radiation is applied to the intersection of blood vessels. As laser radiation, radiation with a wavelength of 970 nm is used. Exposure is carried out with a power of 7.0 W in continuous mode. Vessels with a diameter of 0.4 to 1.5 mm are exposed. Diameter of the laser spot corresponds to the diameter of the vessel. Speed of movement of the laser fiber along the vessel is 1 mm/s.
EFFECT: method ensures prevention of intraoperative bleeding in a wound during tonsillectomy, the ability to work in a dry surgical field, reduction of the volume of intraoperative blood loss, reduction of the risk of bleeding after tonsillectomy, relief of pain in the postoperative period and reduction of the duration of the operation.
