FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: black body model (BBM) – a device used as a radiation source in a wide range of applications – stands for measuring the photoelectric characteristics of single infrared (IR) photodetectors and matrix IR photodetectors (IR MPhD), calibration stands for photoconverters. Method of installation of a given irradiance from the BBM includes setting the temperature of the radiating pad, measuring the dimensions of the radiating pad of the BBM, the alignment of the plane of the radiating platform of the BBM and the plane of registration of irradiance perpendicular to the common axis connecting their centers determines the transmission spectrum Ksf(λ) the optical channel between the BBM and the irradiance registration plane, determines the dependence of the distance L on the temperature TBBM or temperature TBBM from the distance L to the registration plane for a given photon Fn or energy Fp irradiance, depending on temperature TBBM, from the distance L, from the size and area of the BBM radiating platform, from the transmission spectrum Ksf(λ), and includes the BBM in the operating mode with the installation of the corresponding temperature values TBBM and distance to the radiating platform L.
EFFECT: ability to provide a given amount of photon and energy irradiance in the registration plane in any given spectral range, for any type of BBM.
