FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method for attaching a split ring electrode to a catheter tube relates to medicine. In the method, a tube with a lumen, a side wall and a hole in the side wall, providing communication between the lumen and the outer side of the tube, is provided. Then, an electrode wire is passed through the lumen and out of the hole so as to expose the distal section of the electrode wire. After that, the distal portion of the electrode wire is arranged on the outer surface of the tube. Next, a split ring electrode is installed on the outer surface of the tube so as to overlap the hole and the distal section of the electrode wire. Then, a film of electrically conductive adhesive is attached between the ring electrode and the outer surface of the tube. Lastly, the electrically conductive adhesive film is heated to a fluid state.
EFFECT: expansion of the range of methods for attaching a split ring electrode to a catheter tube is achieved.
