FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to silicon-containing polymer composite materials. Proposed is a composite material containing at least 2 % of a polymer composition by volume, comprising at least one covalently crosslinked siloxanyl polymer cluster, which is further crosslinked by a boron compound, and at least 1 % of grainy or granular material by volume, however, the composite material does not return to its original form during deformation, and the concentration of boron in the composite material is in the range of 0.005–0.160 wt.%. Variants of a method for manufacturing said composite material and a rebound clay based on it are also proposed.
EFFECT: proposed composite material has a low boron content not exceeding European safety standards, and can be obtained fairly quickly and without excessive heating.
