FIELD: biotechnologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the biotechnology. Disclosed is a method for removing host cell DNA from fermentation broth. Method includes heating fermentation broth to temperature from 70 to 110 °C with subsequent introduction of aluminum polychloride in amount of 0.1–10 % (wt/wt) and additional introduction of one or more flocculants consisting of salts and polymers. Flakes of the precipitated material are removed using known methods.
EFFECT: method provides reducing the host cell DNA content in the fermentation broth below the detectable level.
