FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine and instrument making, namely to oxidation of structural and medical articles from stainless nickel-chrome-nickel steel, for example, shutoff valves and intraosseous implanted structures. Method comprises placing articles in oxidation chamber, subsequent induction heating at current frequency on inductor 100±20 kHz in air atmosphere at pressure 0.1±0.01 MPa, holding and cooling. Oxidation process is carried out by induction heating to temperature of 800–850 °C at inductor current of 1.8–2.0 kA and specific electric power of 95–110 kW/kg, then holding at said temperature for 1.5–2 minutes.
EFFECT: provides for formation on surfaces of structural and medical products from stainless chromium-nickel steel coating, characterized by microhardness 10,9±4,5 GPa and modulus of elasticity 212±36 GPa, consisting of chromium and nickel oxides, using a more efficient method.
