FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to layer-by-layer manufacturing of 3D articles from steel powder of AK type. Creating 3D model of product, its layer-by-layer is divided into layers with pitch of vertical displacement of layers within 0.2 to 1 mm and pitch of transverse displacement - from 0.7 to 2 mm, creating control operation of laser installation program and is sequential layer-by-layer growing of article from steel powder of AK type with size of fractions from 50 to 150 mcm. Transport-protective gas flow rate is provided within range of 10 to 30 l/min, powder supply mass flow rate is in range from 5 to 100 g/min,
power of laser radiation is from 1 to 3 kW, diameter of processing zone is from 1 to 5 mm, and speed of laser head displacement relative to substrate is from 5 to 45 mm/s.
EFFECT: higher strength characteristics of articles made from steel of AK type.
