FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of topologically optimized water-jet propulsor impeller by direct laser cultivation. Constructing 3D model of impeller. Constructing technological 3D model of the impeller by topological optimization and detailing of said 3D-model by strength, rigidity, by allowances for mechanical post-processing, by shrinkage, by deformation and by spatial limitations of movement of head of laser installation relative to grown impeller workpiece, by formulating process limitations on minimum realized dimensions of elements and walls thickness of hub and blades of impeller. Process 3D-model is layer-by-layer divided into layers with pitch vertical offset of layers from 0.15 to 1.1 mm and pitch of transverse displacement from 0.6 to 2.5 mm, control program of laser installation is created and sequential layer-by-layer growth of impeller from metal powder out of stainless steels or titanium alloys or copper alloys (bronze) with size of fractions from 20 to 200 mcm is performed. Transport-protective gas flow rate is from 10 to 30 l/min, mass flow rate of powder supply from 5 to 100 g/min, laser radiation power from 0.7 to 3 kW, diameter of processing zone spot from 1 to 5 mm, and speed of movement laser head relative to substrate from 5 to 45 mm/s.
EFFECT: technical result consists in reduction of metal consumption of items of complex geometric shape, made of stainless steels, titanium and copper alloys with preservation of their characteristics in strength, rigidity and geometrical accuracy.
