FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of high-precision billet from titanium alloy powder. Method includes layer-by-layer growing of a billet on a direct laser growing apparatus using data of 3D model of a billet in software or manually entered by a program data operator from an operator panel, focusing of laser radiation in a sealed working chamber in the zone of powder treatment by means of an optical system of a laser head, supply of powder to the zone of action of laser radiation and layer-by-layer imposition of billet layers from powder by means of movement of oscillated laser radiation. Layer-by-layer deposition of powder billet layers is carried out in a sealed working chamber filled with argon to excessive pressure. Laser radiation is oscillated by oscillation module built into laser head at frequency 300–1,000 Hz and amplitude 0.5–5 mm. Laser radiation power is programmed by points in range of 0.3–5 kW and provides linear velocity of oscillated laser radiation in range of 5–50 mm/s.

EFFECT: higher quality of facing layers is provided.
