FIELD: internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engines with disengaged cylinders. Method for engine consists in the fact that during rotation of engine during engine cycle exhaust valves of engine cylinder are kept closed and in operation valves of said cylinder are operated. During rotation of engine during said engine cycle, installation of phases of gas distribution of inlet valves of said cylinder is shifted to advancement. Invention discloses the engine system.
EFFECT: technical result consists in selective disconnection of one or more of the engine cylinders without pumping oxygen into the exhaust gas neutralization system and without the need to disconnect the inlet valves.
