FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines. Method for the engine consists in the fact that in response to the filter temperature exceeding of the solid particles of the threshold temperature during operation of the engine with fuel cutoff in the deceleration mode (FCDM), the throttle valve is completely closed, which is made with possibility to regulate the intake air flow to the engine. In response to the pressure drop in the intake manifold below the threshold pressure with the throttle valve completely closed, the position of the throttle valve is adjusted based on the temperature of the particulate filter. Embodiment of the method for the engine is disclosed.
EFFECT: technical result consists in prevention of degradation of filter and longer duration of operation with fuel cutoff in deceleration mode.
