FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: use for forming articles (100) from compacted powder. Installation (1) for molding articles (100) from compacted powder comprises powder feed system (5) and sealing station (11). Emitter (18) emits an input X-ray having a given intensity (I0) of radiation. Output detector (20) detects output parameter representing output intensity (I1) of the X-ray beam passing through the powders. Control detector (23) detects a control parameter representing effective intensity (I2) of the generated X-ray beam. Control unit (24) is programmed to correct output parameter by control parameter, to generate control signal (S1), which is the detected density, and to control powder supply system (5) by means of control signal (S1).
EFFECT: possibility of creating a method and apparatus for forming articles from compacted powder, by means of which products can be made, density of which is characterized by high level of uniformity not only inside a separate article, but also in relation to the whole batch of articles.
