FIELD: ceramic materials.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the production of ceramic products, in particular plates, more specifically tiles. The machine for compacting powder material (CP) containing ceramic powder includes a sealing device (3), a conveyor unit (5) and a feeding unit (9). In this case, the sealing device (3) is located at the work station (4) and is designed to compact the powder material (CP) so as to obtain a layer of compacted powder material (CP). Conveyor unit (5) for transporting a layer of powder material (CP) along the first section (SA) of a given trajectory in the direction (A) of advancement from the input station (6) to the work station (4) and a layer of compacted powder material (CP) from the work station (4) along the second section (SB) of a given trajectory. The feeding unit (9) is made with the possibility of feeding powder material (CP) to the conveyor unit (5) at the input station (6). In this case, the machine (2) includes an adjustment unit (13), which is made with the possibility of changing the width of the powder material layer (CP). The adjustment unit (13) comprises the first enclosing wall (14) and at least one second enclosing wall (15), which are arranged with the possibility of limiting in the transverse direction the area (PZ) of the passage for the powder material (CP), which is located along at least part of the first section (SA), and at least one first actuator (16, 17, 18, 19), to move at least one of the first enclosing wall (14) and the second enclosing wall (15) relative to the other enclosing wall (14, 15) with the possibility of changing the width of the powder material layer (CP). In this case, the machine includes a detection device (26), which is designed to determine the density of a layer of compacted ceramic powder (CP) and is located at the detection station (27) along the second section (SB) of a given trajectory; and a control device (28) for controlling the adjustment unit (13), in particular the first actuator, with the possibility of changing the width of the powder material layer (CP) over time.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of compaction of powder material and the manufacture of ceramic products.
