SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method and apparatus for pressing ceramic powder, as well as to a line and method for making ceramic articles. Apparatus for pressing ceramic powder includes a pressing device arranged in the area of a working station and made with possibility of pressing ceramic powder to produce a pressed ceramic powder layer, a conveyor assembly and a feed assembly. At that, the conveyor unit serves to transfer essentially a continuous ceramic powder along the first part of the specified trajectory from the input station to the workstation and the pressed ceramic powder layer along the second part of the specified trajectory from the workstation to the output station. Supply unit is configured to supply ceramic powder to conveyor assembly in the area of input station. Apparatus further includes a detection device and a control device. Detection device is configured to determine the density of the pressed ceramic powder layer and is placed in the detection station region along the second part of the predetermined trajectory. Control device serves to control supply unit and is configured to change in time the amount of ceramic powder supplied by conveyor unit to working station, depending on what was determined by means of detection device.
EFFECT: high accuracy and efficiency of controlling density of ceramic powder layers obtained after pressing.
