FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an apparatus and a method of making ceramic articles. Method of making ceramic articles (T) involves several steps. At the sealing step, the powdered material (CP) containing the ceramic powder is compacted in the zone of work station (4) to produce a layer of compacted powder (KP). At the transportation stage, the powder material (CP) is transported (essentially continuously) by a conveyor unit along the first section (PA) of the specified path in the feed direction (A) from input station (6) to workstation (4), and packed powder layer (KP) is conveyed by conveyor unit along second section (PB) of specified path from work station (4) to output station (7). At the feeding step, the powder material (CP) is supplied to a part of conveyor unit (5) in the zone of input station (6) by means of supply unit (9). At that, in particular, the stage of transportation and the stage of supply are performed at least partially simultaneously. At that, supply unit (9) comprises first supply device (10) made with possibility to supply first type powder material (CA) at feeding stage, and second supply device (11) configured to supply, at the feeding step, second type of powder material (CB). At the transportation stage, determination device (19) determines at which length conveyor unit (5) transports the powder material (CP) along the specified path in the feed direction (A). At the feeding step, control unit (20) controls feed unit (9) to change the distribution of the first and second type powder (CA, CB) materials in the transverse direction relative to the feed direction (A) depending on the data determined by determining device (26), and from reference distribution (21) of powder material (CA, CB) of the first and second type to be produced in powder material (CP) conveyed by conveyor unit (5). In particular, powdered material (CA) of the first type has a color differing from the color of the powdered material (CB) of the second type. First feeder comprises a respective first storage chamber (12) accommodating first-type powder material (CA) and having a respective first outlet (13), the lengthwise length of which is transverse (particularly perpendicular) to feed direction (A). Second feed device (11) comprises a respective second storage chamber (14) accommodating powdered material (CB) of a second type and having a corresponding second outlet (15), the lengthwise length of which is transverse (particularly perpendicular) to feed direction (A). First outlet hole (13) has corresponding first through zones (16) arranged in series along the longitudinal extension of first outlet (13). Second outlet hole (15) has corresponding second through zones (17) arranged in series along the longitudinal extension of second outlet (15).

EFFECT: increased efficiency of powders distribution.
