FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates generally to methods and systems for variable fuel supply for an engine which comprises distributed and direct injection injectors. Variable fuel supply relates to regulation of quantities of fuel supplied to engine cylinders on the basis of formation of fuel drops and dispersion of fuel drops in order to burn the required amount of fuel in engine cylinders. Disclosed are methods and systems for controlling the amount of fuel supplied to engine through distributed and direct injection fuel injectors in variable operating conditions of engine, where amount of injected fuel is controlled in accordance with variable operating conditions of engine. In one of the examples, the amount of injected fuel is controlled based on the time constant for the filter, which is based on the fuel fraction of direct fuel injection.
EFFECT: technical result is improved control of variable fuel supply in conditions when injected amount of fuel varies in accordance with conditions, which can increase or reduce weight of one or more drops of fuel in engine.
