FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to surgical stapling and cutting tools and staples intended for use with them. Surgical stapling instrument comprises a surgical end effector and a closure system. Surgical end effector comprises first and second branch elements. Application of closing movement with respect to at least one of first and second elements of branch results in movement of at least one of first and second elements of branch in closed position relative to other of first and second elements of branch. Closing system comprises axially movable closing element closing actuator and closing transmission. Axially movable closing element is configured to apply closing movement with respect to at least one of first and second members of branch. Closing actuator includes the first part of the actuating mechanism made with the possibility of axial movement along the first section of axial movement at actuation of the closing actuating mechanism. Closing transmission is connected to first part of actuator and comprises second part of actuator, which is connected to the axially movable closing element such that when the closing actuating mechanism actuates, the second actuator part moves the axially movable closing member along the second axial movement portion, which is larger than the first axial movement portion. Actuator first part comprises first axially movable closing rack. Actuator second part comprises second axially movable closing rack, which is in functional connection with first axially movable closing rack. In addition, the closing transmission comprises a transmission rack covering the gear wheel, a connecting gear wheel and a multiplier gear wheel. In a second embodiment, the surgical stapling instrument comprises an end effector. End effector comprises a surgical staple cassette and a stopper. Surgical instrument further comprises a shaft assembly, a handle closing the actuator, an axially movable closing element and a closing transmission.
EFFECT: inventions are characterized by that the second part of the actuator is functionally connected to the first part of the actuator by means of an axially movable transfer rack and gears.
