FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical instrument-making and can be used in diagnosing and studying focal and diffuse new growths in oncology, hepatology, mammalogy, endocrinology and other branches of medicine, as well as in instrument-making during medical equipment manufacturing. Fluorescent-reflective spectroscopy device for diagnosing focal and diffuse new growths during the FPAB consists of a polychromatic radiation source, a radiation supply and collection system, a spectrum analyzer and a computer and is characterized by that it comprises two sources of monochromatic light radiation, and the radiation supply and collection system is mounted in a fiber-optic probe with a rigid end with diameter of not more than 1 mm, which enables to conduct it in medical needles for aspiration biopsy and subjected to sterilization. Probe has 10 fibers: nine transmitting fibers, three of which are connected to a polychromatic radiation source with a wavelength range of 360–2,400 nm, three to a laser emitter with wavelength of 450 nm and three more to a light-emitting diode with wavelength of 365 nm, arranged around one reading spectra which conducts light to the analyzer. Such quantity and orientation of optical fibers inside a fiber-optic probe with a rigid end provides uniform and bright illumination of the diagnostic field and provides high signal-to-noise ratio. Besides, the probe has end face 20°, which provides reliable contact of the probe with dense tissues. Computer of the device is equipped with a neuronet module, which enables to perform processing of the obtained data and classification of tissues directly during the FPAB.
EFFECT: higher accuracy, reliability and rapidness of diagnosing focal and diffuse new growths during FPAB.
