FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil industry and can be used in operation of wells and pump equipment for cleaning fluids from mechanical impurities. Downhole device comprises a cylinder-conical housing with an inlet tangential channel for supply of liquid to be cleaned from impurities and an outlet pipe for cleaned liquid discharge installed in its upper part. On the lower part of the branch pipe there is a concentric arrangement of a separating unit in the form of a hollow auger with screw channels and with a conic outer surface, under which there is a tubular vortex chamber, the lower part of which is connected to the plugged settling tank for mechanical impurities. Central angle of conical outer surface of screw is more than two angles of friction of interacting surfaces of screw and cylinder-conical housing. Direction of helical screw channels coincides with direction of input tangential channel. In the tubular vortex chamber there inclined tangential channels coinciding with the direction of the helical channels of the screw, communicating with the plugged sump covering the tubular vortex chamber. Angle of inclination of tangential channels to device axis decreases in proportion to square of their distance from screw end.

EFFECT: increased repairability of the device and efficiency of cleaning fluids from mechanical impurities.
