FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in control systems of internal combustion engines. Disclosed are methods and systems for controlling water injection to different engine locations based on complete water injection error, determined based on readings of oxygen content sensor in exhaust gases. Method can contain water injection into different places on the basis of cooling requirement and dilution requirement. Besides, method may contain distribution of complete injection error by appropriate water injectors, as well as control of engine parameters to ensure required engine cooling and dilution.
EFFECT: invention allows more precise control of water injection into engine and improvement of engine performance without complication of control system design.
