METHOD FOR DETERMINING SEVERITY OF ACUTE PANCREATITIS Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC G01N33/49

Abstract RU 2712917 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to a method for determining severity of acute pancreatitis. According to the method, in first 1-2 days from the beginning of treatment and for the second time on 7–9th day from the beginning of treatment, the number of desquamated endothelial cells is determined, as well as the number of normochromic stained and hyperchromically stained desquamated endothelial cells and calculating the degree of staining of the desquamated endothelial cells (Ko) by ratio of normochromic staining (N) to number of hyperchromically colored desquamated endothelial cells (G). If Ko decreases in the second measurement as compared to the first one by 1.3 and more, a favorable prognosis is stated, and if Ko increases by 0.4 and more, development of complications of acute pancreatitis is stated.

EFFECT: method provides higher accuracy of determining severity of acute pancreatitis.
