FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental oncology. Method comprises orthotopic transplantation of esophageal cancer cell culture into cervical esophagus of immunodeficient mice, involving dissection of neck skin of immunodeficient mouse, blunt excretion of trachea and underlying esophagus from surrounding tissues and subsequent injection of culture of tumor cells into muscular membrane of esophagus. Skin is dissected at the base of the right auricle and left with a base left an auricle. Then skin is incised along middle line of body with length of not less than 5 mm, starting from first incision and ending at level of connection of third ribs with sternum. After the injection, the formed skin defect is ligated with two needles, one of which is inserted near the base of the left auricle and pulled to the opposite end of the incision, the second needle is punctured in the area of the base of the right auricle. Horizontal dissection of the skin from the right and left bases of the auricles is closed with the right and left ends of the ligature, respectively, to the middle of the incision, thereafter, the skin incision is made along the midline of the body, alternatively by two ends of the ligature, which are pulled up when the lower edge of the incision is reached, and the knot is tied.
EFFECT: method enables providing optimal low-traumatic access to the cervical esophageal cavity of the animal with subsequent suturing of the surgical wound using only one ligature in orthotopic transplantation of human esophageal tumor cell culture into cervical esophagus of immunodeficient mice to obtain tumor models for preclinical studies of various esophageal cancer therapy options.
