DRIVE STRUCTURES FOR SURGICAL INSTRUMENTS WITH POSSIBILITY OF ARTICULATED TURN Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC A61B17/72

Abstract RU 2711421 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to surgical stapling and cutting tools. Shaft assembly for a surgical instrument comprising a movable drive member, wherein the assembled shaft comprises a trunnion assembly, a surgical end effector, a proximal trigger, an intermediate trigger, a distal trigger, a hinged rotation drive and a clutch system. Trunnion assembly is functionally connected to surgical instrument. Surgical end effector is connected to a trunnion assembly by means of a hinge joint. Proximal trigger element is jointed with moving drive element and is supported with possibility of movable movement relative to trunnion assembly. Intermediate starting element is supported with possibility of movable movement relative to trunnion assembly. Distal trigger element is coupled with the intermediate trigger element and is maintained with possibility of selective axial movement, at least along part of the surgical end effector. Drive for pivoting turn is joined with end effector to apply hinge motions to it. Clutch system is configured to selectively move between the orientation of the articulation and the starting orientation so that if the clutch system is in the orientation of the pivoting rotation, movement of the movable drive member is transmitted to the articulation drive through the proximal starting member, and if the clutch system is in the start-up orientation, movement of the movable drive element is transmitted to the distal trigger element through the proximal trigger element and the intermediate trigger element. In the second embodiment, the shaft assembly for a surgical instrument comprises a trunnion assembly, a surgical end effector, a proximal trigger, a distal trigger, at least one articulated drive, a motor for articulation and means for preventing movement of the movable drive member when the articulation motor is driven. Distal trigger element is joined with the proximal trigger element and is supported with possibility of selective axial movement, at least along part of the surgical end effector. At least one drive for hinged rotation is coupled with end effector to apply hinge motions thereto. Engine for hinged rotation is supported by trunnion assembly and can be coupled with transmission of drive force with at least one drive for articulation.

EFFECT: group of inventions is characterized by that if the clutch system is in orientation of the pivoting turn, movement of the movable drive element is transmitted to the hinge rotation drive through the proximal start element, and if the clutch system is in the start-up orientation, movement of the movable drive member is transmitted to the distal trigger element through the proximal start-up element and the intermediate trigger element.
