SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automatic track identification (FS, GL) in railway communication (BVK, SVK). Based on (i) stored as reference data (RDA) registered on railway track (BST, SST) in railway network with respect to geographical environment and use of track in railway communication relating to the place of reference information in the form of reference information (ROI) on location, reference information (RFI, RGI) on track and reference information (RFWI, RGWI) on change of track obtained in context of registration of contextual and demonstration information (KHI) and, if necessary, additional related meta information (MI), as well as (ii) matching track registered in mode of recognition based on data on position of working information (BOI) on location and working information (BFI, BGI) on track or working information (BFWI, BGWI) on track change with reference data stored in memory (RDA), use of track is recognized by analytical assessment of relevance and content of information.

EFFECT: higher automation of track recognition.
