FIELD: railroad transport.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of railway transport. A lot of images (BIGB) of a hazardous area (GB) partly located along a rail section (BST) of a rail network (SNE) are recorded. In each of the images (BIGB) of the danger area (GB), an area (BIB) of the image is marked, showing a separate area (TBGB) of the graphically depicted danger area (GB), which is regarded as particularly critical. For the marked area (BIB), by comparison of samples, it is checked whether people and/or moving objects are in the critical separate area (TBGB). The hazard recognition device (GSEV) comprises an image recording device (BAZG) and a computing/analyzing device (BAWE) that is connected and operatively connected to an image recording device (BAZG) and an image storage device (BSPE). The railway vehicle contains a device (GSEV) for detecting dangerous situations.
EFFECT: ability to recognize dangerous situations by interactive image analysis in combination with known metadata about dangerous areas.
