FIELD: railway automatics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway automation for automatic detection of obstacles on the track. In the engineering solution on multi-image base (BIFSB) located in front of the railway vehicle (BFZ, SFZ) of the haul section (FSB) in the image area (BIB) marked on each of the images, which shows track (FS, GL) used by railway vehicle (BFZ, SFZ), by means of images analysis is recognized by graphically positioned by marking the track and matched with stored in memory known graphical meta information (BMI) or with stored in memory known graphical metainformation (BMI) and additional information (ZI), and on a fragment (BIBAS) of the marked area of the image, the object recognition method is used to identify whether an object (OBJ) is on the track (FS, GL), wherein in the image area (BIB), preferably in the segment (BIBAS) of image region an obstacle is marked when object recognition (OBJ) is detected by object recognition method.
EFFECT: higher reliability of automatic recognition of obstacles on the route.
