FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to experimental neurosurgery. Single impact action on an occipital area of a head of an adult rat weighing 240–300 g is carried out with a cargo of cylindrical shape from brass with weight of 200 g with a base in the form of a cone, having diameter of 2 cm, height of 1 cm, area of striker 3.14 mm2, height of load drop of 1 m, placed in guide tube, with one-stage free fall of animal from height of 30 cm into reservoir 40 × 30 × 30 cm onto the foam pad. First, the surface of the reservoir is coated with foil 0.01 mm thick, on which the middle line of the incision is applied by the blade.
EFFECT: method enables forming a cerebral injury without macroscopic foci with a corresponding microscopic and clinical picture that maximally reproduces cerebral contusion of mild degree in a human.
