FIELD: vessels and other watercrafts.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to icebreaking works. Underwater ship 2 is started to move under ice 1 at safe depth at resonant speed, exciting bending-gravity waves 3, at that, over horizontal vessel 4 horizontal flow 4 is formed, which will cause reduction of water depth under ice 1 and increase of amplitude of said waves. Stream 4 is formed periodically with frequency of resonance flexural-gravity waves and stored during time equal to half of their period, which considerably increases their amplitude, that is their ice breaking capacity.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at improvement of efficiency of ice destruction.
