FIELD: navigation.
SUBSTANCE: navigation in ice conditions in particular underwater vessels, floating in conditions of continuous ice cover and destroying it by the resonance method. When it is implemented, while the vessel 2 is moving under the ice cover, using horizontal controls 4, a film with a large specific gravity is placed and then towed by the vessel 2. During the movement of the vessel 2, the film is periodically given a vertical position 10 from a horizontal position at the frequency of resonant flexural-gravity waves for a time equal to half of their period.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of ice cover destruction.
