SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and devices for assistance in parking. Method of parking assistance for parking assistance device comprises steps of determining whether the considered vehicle has stopped, and when it is determined that the considered vehicle has stopped, displaying the first auxiliary image in the position of the free parking space on the image of the neighbourhoods before the parking control begins by input from the person in the vehicle. In case free parking space is detected near the considered vehicle, when the considered vehicle is not in fixed state, auxiliary image is displayed in a position different from the position of the free parking space on the neighbourhood image. Parking assistance device comprises a sensor information processing scheme, a neighbourhood image generation scheme, an image display scheme, which displays the first auxiliary image in the free parking position on the neighbourhood image and the stop determination scheme, which determines whether the considered vehicle has stopped.
EFFECT: higher safety when parking a vehicle.
