FIELD: physics; heating.
SUBSTANCE: described is a method and an apparatus for use with a resonance RLC circuit for inductive heating of a sensing element of an aerosol generating device. Device is configured to determine the resonance frequency of the resonant RLC circuit and determining, based on said determined resonance frequency, a first frequency for the resonant RLC circuit for exciting the inductive heating of the sensing element, wherein the first frequency is greater than or less than said determined resonance frequency. Device can be configured to control the excitation frequency of the resonant RLC circuit such that this frequency is equal to a certain first frequency in order to heat the sensing element. Also described is an aerosol generation device comprising said device.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to control the heating level of the receiving element without the need to control voltage supplied to the circuit and, consequently, enables to obtain a cheaper and energy-efficient and volume-efficient device.
