SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an aerosol delivery device and can be used in smoking articles, e.g. in electronic cigarettes. Aerosol delivery device comprises a casing forming a reservoir, configured to hold the aerosol precursor composition, the housing accommodating a heating element configured to control for activation and evaporation of the components of the aerosol precursor composition, and a power supply configured to supply the heating element for activating and evaporating the components of the aerosol precursor composition. Power supply comprises lithium-ion battery (LiB) having anode made of graphite, lithium or lithium titanate (LTO), cathode made of lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt oxide, lithium-nickel-cobalt-aluminum oxide, lithium- iron phosphate or lithium-manganese oxide, and a polymer separator disposed between the anode and the cathode.
EFFECT: longer service life and safety of device is technical result of invention.
