SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to a handle assembly and a stapling apparatus comprising said assembly. Handle assembly for actuation of the stapling apparatus comprises a pointer, a first handle and a second handle, a slot and a slider. Pointer is movable between the first position region and the second position region. Groove is made in the first handle and has the first section and the second section connected to each other. Slider is located in slot with possibility of sliding. When the indicator moves from the first position area to the second position area, the slider is actuated with displacement from the first slot section into the second slot section. When the slider is in the first slot section and the first handle rotates in the first direction, the slider is not in contact with the second handle, therefore, the second handle is in the safety position. When the slider is in the second slot section and the first handle is turned in the first direction, the slider is in contact with the second handle and actuates the second handle with its movement from the safety position to the actuating position. Stapling apparatus comprises the above handle assembly.
EFFECT: use of inventions enables to prevent activation of the stapling apparatus by mistake.
