FIELD: image forming devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to display devices and devices for displaying image data. Result is achieved by the fact that displaying image data on a display device includes determining virtual color gamma based on a plurality of primary display colors associated with the light source. At least one of the virtual color scales is determined to approximate the established color gamma. Intensity values associated with the virtual color data form, based on the received video data, and the intensity values, associated with virtual color gamma are used to generate excitation values for the primary colors of the light source. In addition, disclosed is a display device using one or more virtual color gamma.
EFFECT: technical result is providing a means for displaying 2D (2M) video data on three-dimensional (3M) display device.
