FIELD: document security.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of protected documents, such as, for example, banknotes and identity documents, against counterfeiting and illegal reproduction. In particular, the present invention provides magnetic transfer processes of one or more characters into a non-hardened coating layer made from the coating composition, containing platelet magnetic or magnetizable pigment particles, to obtain layers with optical effect (OEL) as counterfeit means on protected documents or protected articles or for decorative purposes.
EFFECT: invention improves processes of magnetic transfer of characters with creation of layers with OEL, having improved reflecting appearance, said processes being easy to implement and capable of operating at high operating speed, providing OEL, developing not only attracting relief and/or 3D-effect, but also bright appearance with good resolution.
