FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention is method for determining presence of genetic predisposition to human longevity based on data on genetic variant of rs2802288 locus. A real-time polymerase chain reaction is carried out with DNA isolated from human biological material in presence of oligonucleotide probes and primers, and rs2802288 polymorphism of FOXO3A gene is analyzed by allelic discrimination. This is done to predict presence of genetic predisposition to human longevity, which increases by ~ 1.5 times probability of living to 100 years in case of detection of genotype AA (rs2802288) or AG (rs2802288), and absence of genetic predisposition to human longevity, which increases ~ 1.5 times the probability of living to 100 years in case of detection of GG genotype (rs2802288).
EFFECT: invention provides accurate, simple, fast and inexpensive method for predicting a person's genetic disposition to longevity.
