FIELD: pharmaceutical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the pharmaceutical industry and can be used in drug quality control centers and analytical laboratories for quantitative determination of the amount of flavonoids in the bark of black walnut (Juglans regia L.). According to the method, it’s necessary to preliminarily obtain aqueous-alcoholic extract from the bark of black walnut by extracting 1 g of an exact weighed portion of the bark of black walnut crushed to a particle size of 2 mm with ethyl alcohol in terms of a substance of flavonoid nature by the method of differential spectrophotometry. In this case, the extraction of raw materials is carried out once, ethyl alcohol is used as an extractant at a concentration of 80%. The ratio of raw materials to the extractant is 1:30. The quantitative determination of the sum of flavonoids in the bark of black walnut is carried out at a wavelength of 416 nm in terms of rutin and the content of the sum of flavonoids (X in percent) is calculated based on the specified ratios in terms of rutin and absolutely dry raw materials or in the absence of a standard sample of rutin using the calculated value of the specific absorbance at 416 nm, equal to 238.
EFFECT: increased specificity and accuracy of analysis.
