FIELD: driving.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and a device for driving assistance. The driving assistance method includes the step of detecting a set of malfunctions in the devices installed on the vehicle, the step of detecting the restriction of movement of the vehicle, and the step of informing the driver of the restriction of movement. When the set of travel restrictions is detected in connection with the detected set of malfunctions, in the informing step, the driver is informed of the higher priority travel restriction selected from the set of detected travel restrictions. The set of movement restrictions include a state in which movement of the vehicle is restricted and a state in which the next start of the vehicle is not possible.
EFFECT: increased vehicle driving safety.
