FIELD: vehicles in general.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to system of assistance in switching from automatic driving mode to manual driving mode when driving a vehicle. Driving mode changeover assistance system comprises: a plurality of parking-enabled driving mode switching spaces, a means of configuring a driving section, a means of maintaining a motion stop state. Switching spaces are provided for switching the driving mode from automatic driving to manual driving after the vehicle is directed into the selected driving mode switching space and stops. Configuration means configures the automatic driving section to be driven in the automatic driving mode, based on the position of any driving mode switching space, which is selected from a plurality of driving mode switching spaces and must be configured in advance to enable parking of the vehicle with automatic driving. Means to maintain stop state for preset stop time after vehicle is guided in automatic driving mode into selected driving mode switching space and stopped.

EFFECT: increased safety when switching driving modes.
