FIELD: pharmaceutical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for determining the content of ciprofloxacin using reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography, in which chromatographic separation is performed on a column 250 × 3 mm in size filled with a C18 sorbent with a particle size of 5 mcm, using a mixture of 0.025 M sodium dihydrogen phosphate solution as a mobile phase pH = 2.15 with acetonitrile in a ratio of 85:15 in an isocratic elution mode using a diode array detector and an injected sample volume of 10 mcl.
EFFECT: method for the determination of ciprofloxacin by the method of reversed-phase high-performance chromatography is proposed, which makes it possible to effectively separate ciprofloxacin with impurity compounds in the sample, while the smaller inner diameter of the column makes it possible to reduce the consumption of the mobile phase while maintaining efficiency, and the greater hydrophobicity of the C18 sorbent provides greater retention of ciprofloxacin, which increases the resolving method ability.
