METHOD FOR TREATING DISORDERS OF THE VESTIBULAR APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61N1/00 A61B5/00 A61B5/21

Abstract RU 2753214 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to the field of electro- and magnetic therapy, in particular, for use of translingual stimulation in treatment of neurological patients with various pathologies, including those with disorders of the vestibular apparatus causing so-called "motion sickness". Executed simultaneously for this purpose in treatment of disorders of the vestibular apparatus are an electrical impact on the human body in an environment of a constant magnetic field and training activities aimed at controlling equilibrium and/or posture, and/or balance with a reduced or changed visual perception of the environment. The therapeutic procedures therein are executed using a stimulation apparatus constituting a plate intended to be placed in the mouth of the patient.

EFFECT: ensures harmonisation of the significance of signals from the external sensory organs participating in formation of the sense of equilibrium and position of the body, leading to elimination of the initial conflict between signals received by the central nervous system from the vestibular apparatus and the visual organs.
