FIELD: video signal entropy encoding and decoding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means for entropy encoding and decoding of a video signal. The coding block is divided into a plurality of transform blocks. The limited area is determined based on the fact that the coding block is divided into a plurality of transform blocks, with the last non-zero transform coefficient located in the limited area within the current transform block. Position information of the last non-zero transform coefficient in the limited area is generated, wherein the position information of the last non-zero transform coefficient includes horizontal position prefix information and vertical position prefix information for the last non-zero transform coefficient. The current transform block is encoded based on the position of the last non-zero transform coefficient.
EFFECT: invention increases the efficiency of entropy video coding.
